RAMGARH: At least nine workers were injured after an explosion in a furnace chamber at a private steel plant in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh on Sunday afternoon, officials said.The incident occured at the plant in Murpa village under the Kuju outpost area.Chief factory inspector Manish Sinha said two workers who suffered critical injuries were referred to a private hospital in Ranchi for treatment.“Workers sustained burn injuries after hot metal splashed following an explosion in the furnace chamber of the plant. Factory inspector in Hazaribag has been directed to inquire into the issue and submit details report at the earliest,” he said.An inquiry has been ordered to determine the circumstances that led to the furnace explosion.
