GUWAHATI: The Assam State School Education Board has officially declared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2026 results today at 10:30 AM. Students who appeared for the Class 10 board exams can now access their digital mark sheets through the official website and designated online portals.This year, the overall pass percentage stands at 65.62%, reflecting a slight improvement from last year’s 63.98%. Over 4.29 lakh students appeared for the examination, making it one of the largest state board assessments in the country.
Pass percentage sees marginal improvementOut of the total 4,29,249 candidates who appeared for the exam, a significant number successfully cleared it. The improvement in pass percentage indicates a steady academic performance by students across the state.Division-wise performance of studentsAmong the successful candidates, 85,189 students secured first division, showcasing strong academic achievement. Meanwhile, 1,50,167 candidates passed in second division, and 46,345 students were placed in the third division.Distinction and star performersA total of 3,983 students achieved distinction by scoring 510 marks and above. Additionally, 13,681 candidates earned star marks by securing scores between 450 and 509, highlighting a commendable level of excellence among top performers.• Direct link to check the result • Direct link to check the result on TOI Portal Among all districts, the hill district of Dima Hasao recorded the highest pass percentage at 88.23, followed by Sivasagar district, which has shown consistent performance over the years and regularly figures among the top-performing districts. Sivasagar recorded a pass percentage of 84.08.“Heartiest congratulations to all students who passed the HSLC Examination 2026. May this milestone open new opportunities ahead,” CM Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote in a social media post.“To those who did not get the expected results, stay determined. With hard work and perseverance, you will surely succeed. My best wishes always,” he added.ASSEB secretary Naranarayan Nath said that the the date for providing hard copy of certificate cum marks-sheet for the passed candidates shall be notified in due course of time. “Hard copy of marks- sheet to fail candidates will not be provided. However, if any failed candidate desires to obtain the hard copy of Marks-sheet shall have to apply at Board office, separately,” he stated in a notification.How to check Assam HSLC result 2026Students can check their results online by entering their roll number and other required credentials. The digital mark sheets are available on the official website, Board of Secondary Education Assam, as well as on the Times of India results portal.Additionally, students can also access their results via the official mobile application released by the board on the Google Play Store.Exam detailsThe Class 10 board examinations were conducted in February 2026 across 1,046 centres, including 117 newly added venues. Question papers were provided in multiple languages, including English, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, and Hindi, ensuring accessibility for a diverse student base.Students are advised to download and keep a copy of their mark sheets for future reference.
