Filmmaker Aditya Dhar and actor Ranveer Singh, fresh out of scoring two back-to-back Rs 1,000 films, may now be gearing up for their next big venture. The director-actor duo, who stormed the box office with ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, are now reportedly gearing up to work on another exciting collaboration. As per the latest buzz, the director has developed a fresh concept and is currently working on shaping it into a full-fledged feature film.According to Pinkvilla, Dhar is actively developing a script and hoping to take the film on floors by early 2027. As per the report, “Aditya Dhar has cracked an idea and is currently working on it. He’s excited about the concept and is developing it actively, with a plan to start the film by March 2027.”While the project remains in its early stages, Ranveer has emerged as the frontrunner to headline the yet-untitled film. Much like the ‘Dhurandhar’ films, this one is also expected to be mounted on a large scale. If finalised, the collaboration between Dhar and Singh could shape up to be one of the most anticipated film projects of 2027.The 2027 timeline also seems to match director Dhar’s desire to take some time off after spending the last three years working on ‘Dhurandhar’. The director had shared his desire to catch up on some personal time before deep-diving into his next.Over the past months, rumours have been rife that Dhar is inclined towards reuniting with Ranveer again, this time for the historical drama on the founder of the Maurya Empire. As per Variety India, the director may also pick up on one of his passion projects, ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’, which was shelved, or also begin work on a large-scale historical epic on the reign of Chandragupta Maurya. He also has a sports drama in the works.
