Lucknow: Following PM Narendra Modi’s appeal for austerity and prudent expenditure, the UP Vidhan Sabha Secretariat on Wednesday decided to put on hold all educational and study tours of various parliamentary committees until further orders.The decision comes amid a broader push by govts and public institutions to adopt financial restraint and reduce non-essential expenditure in view of prevailing economic considerations.According to an order duly issued by principal secretary Vidhan Sabha Pradeep Dubey, all committees of the House that were scheduled to undertake domestic educational visits, exposure tours, departmental inspections and study trips have been instructed to defer their programmes with immediate effect.
