Lucknow: A public relations officer (PRO) of KGMU complained to the administration after he and his wife were trapped inside a lift at the TG Hostel nursing building for over an hour on Monday. In a complaint to the registrar, Rajesh Kumar Singh said the lift stopped midway due to a technical fault while he and his wife Sheela Singh were using it. He said they remained trapped for over an hour as the lift’s fan and ventilation stopped working, causing suffocation. They were rescued after a technician opened the lift. Singh said residents and staff frequently face such issues due to recurring faults and that earlier complaints did not lead to action. He urged the administration to repair the lift and ensure regular maintenance.
