On Wednesday, a report suggested that Aamir Khan is set to get married to girlfriend Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony in July this year. Now the actor has also confirmed the news. For those not in the know, Aamir has been dating Bengaluru based Gauri since a while. He had confirmed his relationship and introduced her to the media on his birthday last year in March.Now confirming the wedding, he told Variety India, “I’m currently traveling in the US. The news about the marriage is true. It’s on July 5.”The announcement marks a shift from the actor’s earlier stance on marriage. In a previous interaction, Aamir had indicated that tying the knot was not an immediate priority, as he and Gauri were content living together in their newly acquired home. Explaining what changed, he said, “Yes, that is true. But now we both feel we are ready to take our relationship to the next level.”Reflecting on this chapter of his life, the actor described it as one filled with contentment and emotional stability. “I am at peace. Gauri and I are serious about each other and we are in a very committed space. We are partners, we are together. In my heart, I’m already married to her. So, to formalize our togetherness just seems like a natural progression of our partnership,” he shared.Gauri Spratt, who hails from Bengaluru and works in the wellness and beauty industry, was introduced to the media by Aamir during his 60th birthday celebrations in March this year. At the time, the actor revealed that although the two had known each other for years, they reconnected later in life and gradually developed a deeper bond away from the spotlight. Since then, the couple has made several public appearances together, including at the premiere of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’.
