PATNA: A court in Bihar on Saturday granted interim relief to educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as “Khan Sir” while hearing his anticipatory bail plea in a case registered against him.During the hearing, the court upheld its earlier order directing that no coercive action be taken against Khan Sir until the next date of hearing. The court also instructed the police not to initiate any harsh measures against him in the meantime. The anticipatory bail plea will be taken up for further consideration at the next hearing. Earlier on Wednesday, Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu GS Academy, filed an application at Kadamkuan police station seeking action against educator Faisal Khan. The complaint pertains to the death of his brother, Prince Yadav, at a hotel in Nepal and an alleged assault on him during his incarceration at Beur Central Jail.Anand met station house officer (SHO) Janmejay Rai and remained at the police station for nearly two hours. His lawyer joined him shortly thereafter, while a number of supporters gathered outside the premises. The development comes days after Anand secured bail on Monday in the June 2 coaching centre attack case, which involved allegations of an assault on Khan Global Studies. Security personnel were also reportedly attacked during the incident. While Anand has been released on bail, his brother Abhishek and associate Gaurav continue to remain in judicial custody.A Judicial Magistrate First Class court recently rejected their bail applications. Their counsel said fresh bail petitions would be filed before the district judge after obtaining certified copies of the court order.
