LUCKNOW: A potentially dangerous situation was averted on Wednesday evening when the Fire Department safely rescued a man who had climbed an electric pole near Lok Bandhu Hospital crossing in the Alambagh area of Lucknow.According to officials, the Fire Control Room received information that an unidentified man had climbed a pole near the busy intersection and was at risk of falling. In view of the imminent danger, a fire tender was immediately dispatched to the spot on the instructions of the Chief Fire Officer, Lucknow.Acting swiftly, Fire Station Officer Dharmapal Singh rushed to the location along with a fire unit. Upon arrival, firefighters found the man perched on top of the pole, creating concern among onlookers and posing a threat to his own safety.Under the supervision and leadership of FSO Dharmapal Singh, the rescue team deployed a fire ladder and carefully carried out the rescue operation. The man was safely brought down from the pole without any injury.Local police personnel were also present at the scene and assisted in maintaining order during the operation.Officials said timely intervention by the Fire Department helped prevent a possible mishap. The identity of the man and the reasons behind his climbing the pole were not immediately known. Further inquiry is being conducted by the local police.
