The government provided Rs 1.23 lakh crore to oil marketing companies to help keep petrol and diesel prices unchanged for 78 days following the outbreak of the Middle East crisis, news agency PTI reported citing sources.The source told PTI that fertiliser minister seeks doubling of Rs 1.77 lakh cr budgeted subsidy for FY27 from finance ministry.(Developing story)
