Indian Navy Agniveer recruitment 2026: The Indian Navy’s recruitment drive for Agniveer SSR, Agniveer MR and SSR (Medical) posts for the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches concludes today, April 6, 2026. Applications can be submitted online, which began on March 14, 2026.The recruitment drive involves various positions of sailors, where male and female applicants may apply for positions of Agniveer SSR and MR. The position of SSR (Medical) is reserved for unmarried males only. Selection will be conducted through the INET 2026 examination followed by subsequent stages.Application timeline and key eventsFor the said recruitment process, the notification was put out on March 10, 2026. The candidates are provided with a small window to apply until April 6, 2026. A correction window will be available from April 10 to April 11, 2026 for submitted forms.The INET 2026 examination is scheduled for May 2026, with results expected between May and June 2026. For all categories (General/OBC/EWS/SC/ST), the application fee is Rs. 550 which can be paid via the online mode only.Eligibility criteria and educational requirementsAge criteria vary across batches. For Agniveer 01/2027, candidates must be born between December 1, 2004 and May 31, 2009. For Agniveer 02/2027 and SSR (Medical) 02/2027, the birth range is May 1, 2005 to October 31, 2009.Educational qualifications differ by post. Agniveer MR applicants must have passed Class 10 with at least 50 per cent marks. Eligibility Criteria for Agniveer SSR candidates is Class XII with Mathematics and Physics, or a Diploma of three years with 50 percent marks. The Eligibility Criteria for Agniveer SSR (Medical) candidates is Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology securing 50 percent marks.Steps involved in the selection process and pattern of examThe selection process starts with the INET 2026 examination in computer-based mode, then comes Physical Fitness Test, Written Examination stage-two, documentation process, and Medical examination.The Agniveer SSR and Agniveer SSR (Medical) examination will consist of 100 questions on English, Science, and General Knowledge along with Mathematics or Biology, and the total time allotted for the exam is one hour.
