PATNA: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad celebrated his 79th birthday on Thursday, with party workers and supporters holding events across Bihar to mark the occasion.One such celebration in Vaishali district grabbed attention after an RJD worker fell while cutting a cake atop a JCB machine.RJD worker Kedar Yadav was celebrating Lalu Prasad Yadav’s birthday when he lost his footing and fell to the ground.A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.Known for his unconventional style, Kedar Yadav first took part in a cake-cutting event from a tree before climbing onto a JCB in heavy rain to continue the celebrations. Despite the fall, he carried on with the programme in Bhagwanpur and wished the RJD supremo a long and healthy life.During the event, Kedar Yadav compared Lalu Prasad Yadav to South African leader Nelson Mandela and described him as a leader of the poor.He said such programmes are organised to celebrate their leader’s birthday and share the occasion with party workers and supporters. The incident has since sparked mixed reactions on social media.
