Lucknow: Sunday morning saw residents step out in large numbers as Happy Streets at Sukoon by Pardos Okas created a space for fitness, recreation and community bonding. With roads opening up for activities and people of all age groups coming together, the event offered a mix of movement, music and engagement, giving participants a chance to start the day on an active and interactive note.The morning began with a yoga session led by Mahima Kashyap, setting a steady start for participants. This was followed by a zumba session by Anand and Arpita Bhutani, where people joined in stretching limbs to the tune of popular tracks like ‘Kala chashma’ and ‘London thumakda’. A magic show by Anand drew attention, especially among children with interactive acts.Lucky conducted a fitness dance session that encouraged people to participate freely, as host RJ Shadab kept the audience engaged throughout. A tug of war activity saw active participation, adding a competitive element to the event.Chief guest, additional chief secretary UP basic and secondary education department, Partha Sarthi Sensharma said, “People should make time for such initiatives as these platforms encourage healthier lifestyles and also help build a sense of community, especially important for the younger generation.”Army officer Rohit Kumar said he attended the event with his parents and enjoyed the positive atmosphere. He said while his parents took part in the yoga session, he played football, so there was something for everyone in the family. He added that such gatherings bring different generations together and act as a break from daily routine, helping reduce stress.The event was supported by UP Housing and Development Board, Amul, Abacus Lifestyle Brands Ltd, CWC Logistics Driving Process, NTPC Northern Region Headquarters, Central Academy Group of Schools, Sofy, TS Mishra University and Aqualens.Dr Neha Srivastava said, “I am here with my family to spend summer vacations and a Sunday like this feels perfect for children, as both my kids enjoyed the activities, especially pottery and face painting. It was a good break for them and for us as well. I and my husband joined the cycling and zumba sessions together and it was a refreshing experience for the whole family.”
