Lucknow: A 36-year-old man was found dead inside an abandoned car that had been parked on a roadside for nearly three days in Lucknow’s Aashiana area, police said on Friday.The body was discovered around 12.15 am near Saleh Nagar Crossing under Aashiana police station limits after local residents alerted police to a foul smell coming from the unattended vehicle. A police team reached the spot, took the car into custody and inspected it, finding the man’s body inside.The deceased was identified as Gyanendra Singh (36), son of Uday Bhan Singh, a native of Nirala Nagar in Rae Bareli district.According to investigators, Singh was the third of four siblings. He was married and is survived by his wife, Priyanka, and their newborn daughter. The family had been living in a rented house in Bangla bazaar, Telibagh, for the past five to six years. Police said Singh was engaged in the finance business.The body was sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death. Police said teams are scanning nearby CCTV footage to determine when the car was parked at the location and to reconstruct the events leading up to the death. Officers said multiple angles are being examined as part of the probe.
