CHANDIGARH: A 57-year-old woman, Manvinder Kaur, was allegedly shot in the forehead during an eviction proceeding at Sector 42, Chandigarh on Saturday.She had reportedly arrived with court permission and police protection to get the house vacated from Punjab and Haryana high court advocate JPS Chadda, who was living there on rent.As per on-the-spot sources, when the team, along with a court official, reached the second floor and the door was opened, an argument broke out and the advocate allegedly fired a shot, hitting the woman in the forehead.She was rushed to hospital and is said to be in critical condition.Police and CFSL teams have reached the spot for investigation.
