The first hour of the show saw a shocking heel turn from a beloved star and a turmoil segment between Chad Gable and Alpha Academy, who refused to forgive him. The night continued with other explosive bouts, major confrontations between King and Queen of the Ring Finalists, and ended with a coronation of new champions.
What happened in the opening segment of WWE RAW (June 22)?
Oba Femi kicked off the show and fired multiple shots at the Bloodline. This led Jey Uso to come down to the ramp and confront Femi face-to-face. Both men exchanged words before their match in the King of the Ring finals, following which Uso left the ring.
Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. Paige & Brie Bella
The opening match of RAW saw Paige and Brie Bella defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. The enthralling showdown between the two teams concluded when Paige hit Valkyria with Rampage, giving her team the win. Following the bout, Bayley hugged her, but Valkyria shockingly attacked her and left her beaten down in the ring.
Ethan Page vs. Dragon Lee
This was a singles match between Dragon Lee and Ethan Page. Both men locked up in a hard-hitting bout. In the closing moments, Dragon Lee was about to hit the Styles Clash, but Page used his head to hit a low blow and connected with an Ego-plex to win the match.
LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso
After a backstage confrontation, Adam Pearce made the match official between Jimmy Uso and LA Knight. Tensions were evident, leading to an epic collision between both superstars. As the match came to an end, Solo Sikoa appeared and hit the Samoan Spike on Jimmy Uso, who was on the top rope. LA Knight took advantage and hit the BFT to win the match.
Bron Breakker & Austin Theory vs. Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins
The main event saw The Vision members defend their WWE World Tag Team titles against The Street Profits. Mid-match, Logan Paul was caught interfering, but the referee ejected him from the ringside. Paul came back to hand the brass knuckles to Theory, but Joe Hendry returned to chase him away. Seth Rollins came from the crowd, hit Theory with the knuckles, and ran. Breakker chased him, leaving Theory alone.
