The US president said a peace deal aimed at preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons is expected to be signed on Sunday.In a Truth Social post, MAGA supremo described the proposed agreement as a complete departure from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal negotiated under former president Barack Obama.“Barack Hussein Obama’s Deal with Iran, the JCPOA, was an easy, beautiful, smooth road to a Nuclear Weapon, which Iran would have had six years ago, and would have used long before now. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said the signing of any agreement was unlikely to happen immediately and would not take place on Sunday.According to Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB, Baghaei said any potential agreement could instead be finalised in the coming days, suggesting that negotiations may still have hurdles to clear before a deal is formally sealed.
