Lucknow: A day after YouTuber Salim Vastik was attacked with knife in his Ghaziabad office, chief minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the matter and directed officials to take strict action against the culprits.The CM said there was no place for terror or disruption of law and order in the state.Vastik, who reportedly denounced Islam, was vocal against Islamic practices like Triple Talaq.Vastik was in his office in Ali Garden Colony on Friday morning when two assailants attacked him with a knife. He suffered multiple stab wounds on his neck and abdomen. He was admitted to Teg Bahadur Hospital in Delhi where he was operated on but his condition remains critical.The CM directed the police to arrest the accused and conduct an impartial investigation.Police said that 10 teams had been set up to nab the accused. Police conducted raids at four locations, two each in Delhi and Ghaziabad.Police also recovered CCTV footage from the surrounding area and are examining it for further clues.In the FIR filed based on a complaint by Salim’s son, five people were named “on the basis of suspicion”. The accused include Ajgar, Ashraf, Shahrukh, Sonu, and Bhati Builder.
