Lucknow: Lucknow University’s senior professor, RP Singh has penned the first-ever college anthem of Shashi Bhushan Balika Vidyalaya Degree College (SBBVDC), which was formally approved during the institution’s prize day celebration on Tuesday.RP Singh is a senior professor in the department of English. He wrote the anthem reflecting the college’s traditions, aspirations of its students and its emphasis on education, values, women’s empowerment and nation-building.College principal Prof Anjum Islam said the anthem would give students a sense of belonging and inspire them to follow the path of education, values and service to the nation.
