Lucknow: Acting on the directives of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the Sambhal district administration freed public land from encroachments on gram sabha land in two villages.Officials said that the administration remained alert during the operation and ensured that no law-and-order situation arose. In village Bicholi of Sambhal tehsil, illegal constructions of an Imambara and an Eidgah had been carried out on land reserved for manure pits and grazing land.Following due legal process, the tehsildar court issued an eviction order on Jan 31.As no appeal was filed against the order, the officials removed the encroachments. In village Mubarakpur Band, constructions of mosque and madrassa were found on gram sabha land.
