PUNE: Stressing the need for technology-led growth in the MSME sector, Padma Shri awardee and founder of the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI), Milind Kamble, on Thursday said adoption of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and digitisation was crucial to accelerate India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.Speaking at the inauguration of India’s first three-day ERP industrial exhibition at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre in Chinchwad, Kamble said MSMEs played a major role in the country’s economic growth and needed modern technological integration to improve efficiency and productivity.“AI and digitisation will help industries enhance productivity and streamline operations. The technological revolution will help India shed its tag of a developing nation and emerge as a developed country by 2047,” he said.The exhibition has been organised by Exponomics Events and features advanced ERP and digital solutions across sectors including manufacturing, finance, logistics, retail, healthcare, construction and edtech.Among those present at the event were Rotary Club of Pimpri Elite president Irrfann Aawate, Exponomics directors Sagar Ahiwale and Milind Hadap, among others.Deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde lauded the initiative through a video message. A guidebook containing details of the exhibition was also released during the event.President Irrfann Aawate spoke about Rotary International focused area Economy and Community Development through business skill education.The exhibition will continue till May 9 and will remain open to visitors free of cost from 10am to 6pm. It will include expert sessions, workshops and live demonstrations on ERP and digital technologies.
